My experience as a professional web developer began in 2005 with a company called Accade Marketing (formerly Simple Web Works) creating websites for regional customers in and around Texas. I had the opportunity to build multiple web applications while attending Texas Tech University to get my bachelors degree in computer science. I now work for an agricultural startup, Smartfield Inc. as the lead developer for their flagship web application that allows remote farming (CropInsight).
Non-profit Organizations
These sites were typically paid jobs but for companies which are for the most part 501c3 non-profit entities.
This website needed to highlight the primary aspects of the community and provide a central calendar and media portal for it’s members. In 2008 the site received a design award from bestofjoomla.com.
Living Abundantly Ministries is a small non-profit entity that caters to the underprivileged children and youth of Lubbock.
The “Jesus for President” tour was a national book tour by authors Shane Claiborn and Chris Haw. I was one of the organizers of the Lubbock stop, and created this website.
Aldersgate needed a new logo design, as well as a new website to keep their members up to dat with the latest church happenings. The logo is meant to convey John Wesley’s “strangely warm heart”.
Web Applications
I was the lead web developer on a large scale web application project for Smartfield Inc., and worked in the university environment developing an application for the office of international affairs.
CropInsight™ by Smartfield is a world wide application for farmers to “remotely farm” their crops. I designed the user interface from scratch, as well as worked as a primary developer on the application core.
Robert Madden Inc. needed a company intranet portal to allow the sharing of information, logging of driver info, and other internal company activities.
Built as a senior project during my final year at Texas Tech as a computer science student, this application served to catalog and document foreign student’s important documents.
E-commerce Sites
These sites always present a higher level of complexity than your average website.
Commercial Web Sites
I was the primary developer or designer on these sites that were developed for Accade Marketing, or my freelance web company.
